Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our 20th Anniversary Charity Cricket Match JustGiving page.
On Saturday 12th June, my Tartan Terrors will take on David Mountford's Suffolk Gents in a Charity Cricket Match in aid of Hope for Youth NI (formerly "Women Caring Trust").
This is the 20th time that the Tartan Terrors have taken the field against all-comers and we're always convinced that the standard of cricket improves, even if our eyesight doesn't! Each year there are a few more injuries and yet, buoyed up by plentiful supplies from Adnams and Teeny's superlative cakes, we have kept going despite all the odds.
This year's teams include countless stalwarts who have continued to turn out year after year and who have helped us to raise almost £50,000 for different charities. A magnificent team effort indeed.
All funds from this year's match will go to Hope for Youth NI which "aims to help fund cross-community projects that give disadvantaged young people in Northern Ireland the opportunity to work together on practical projects that foster teamwork, creativity and personal development, especially within the arts or in the great outdoors".
Your support can help young people build bridges for peace in Northern Ireland, which is just as vital now as it was when the Trust was founded in 1972.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
Thanks a million.
Aye,
Johnny
