Mission: Hope & Housing

Mission: Hope & Housing · 8 December 2021
Mission: Hope and Housing is partnering with Coleman Health Services to raise funds for young adults ages 18-24 that have aged out of the foster care system. Many of the youth that age out end up on the streets and homeless. These young adults haven’t learned adequate life skills to be able to reside on their own and provide for themselves. With the help of Coleman Health Services, these young adults will be given an opportunity to learn these skills to be successful adults.

Coleman’s youth transitional services assist youth and young adults with emotional and/or behavioral difficulties in their transition to adulthood.
A team of case managers, counselors, child psychiatrists, and vocational rehabilitation providers are specialized in providing services to transitional age youth. They collaborate to help clients achieve greater self-sufficiency through housing support (single unit apartments and housing placement), vocational and employment services, and social/professional skill-building.
Coleman Health Services also provides an Employment Services Program. The program is used to tailor a personalized action plan, with achievable goals for each client.
Coleman Employment Specialists will work with each client to develop a personalized plan to help them secure the right job – one they can be proud of. The specialists will work with each client to create a resume, complete applications, and prepare for interviews. Services also include helping to find job opportunities that match client skills and interests.
