Your support is needed to bring Horatio's Garden to The Spinal Cord Injuries Unit (SCIU) at Musgrave Park Hospital in Belfast. The garden will help everyone affected by spinal injury in Northern Ireland.

Story

We are two friends planning a hike up Croagh Patrick Mountain, Ireland in September 2022.

We are fundraising to support everyone affected by spinal injury, helping to bring Horatio's Garden Northern Ireland to life and provide solace to patients, their loved ones and NHS staff.

Horatio's Garden will be developed at Musgrave Park Spinal Injuries Unit in Belfast and will be a unique therapeutic experience for people with spinal injuries.  Adjusting to life in a wheelchair and undergoing rehabilitation for Spinal Injuries can be a lengthy process so the garden will be a place where patients, their families and friends can go to get away from the sometimes isolating environment of a hospital.  A place where they can chill and gather their thoughts and come to terms with life in a wheelchair.

This innovative project will create opportunities for volunteering and provide a unique venue for patients and staff to run special events.
