I am participating in the Run to the Beat 1/2 marathon on Sunday, 27 September 2009, to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

There are an estimated 2 million people in the UK who are living with cancer and there are about 300,000 new cancer diagnoses in the UK each year. Macmillan Cancer Support's ambition is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer by 2010. Macmillan fund nurses and other health and social care professionals. They also provide practical support at home, emotional support and information, and financial help to cover the additional costs cancer can bring. 99% of Macmillan's services are funded entirely through the generosity of their supporters. Your donation will make a difference!
