Stroke Association

We support people to help rebuild lives after stroke.

Charity Registration No. 211015

Story

To say this event was organised on purpose would be quite far from the truth, in-fact it all started at the Christmas party last year...
As you can imagine we had all had a few drinks and one small suggestion snowballed into running a half marathon! We all woke up the next morning and remembered what was agreed. So here we are a few months on beginning our fundraising ahead of the big day - Sunday 7th September.

There are a number of reasons why The Stroke Association is our chosen charity. Firstly a couple of our relatives have suffered strokes and have been given great care, so we want to give something back. Secondly we want to raise awareness. A stroke can effect anyone and even survivors be debilitated. More importantly recognising the signs of having a stroke can be essential - the quicker the reaction the better the chances of recovery.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, please give generously :) just kidding any kind of support is greatly appreciated.
(Donating through JustGiving is totally secure - your details will never be sent on. Your donation will be sent directly to the charity. Please remember if you are a UK tax payer to select the Gift Aid option).
