The Big Green Hike is a nationwide sponsored walk that anyone can take part in and raises money for a wide range of environmental charities.

We have chosen to raise money for the Knepp Wildlands Foundation, which is a place that many of us in West Sussex have visited and enjoyed. It is the first major lowland rewilding project in England and is famous for its white storks and beavers.

Their latest project, “Weald to Waves”, aims to create at least 10,000 hectares of nature-friendly land in corridors running from the rolling hills of the Weald down the valleys of the Rivers Arun and Adur to boost biodiversity on land and in the sea.

From beavers to butterflies, trees to toads and puffins to policy, be assured that all money raised by the Big Green Hike will go towards conserving and restoring Britain's species and habitats.

We will be doing our hike on Sunday 2^nd April 2023 and will be walking Findon to Arundel, a distance of 12 miles.
