We, a group of friends, previously united by our lack of running skills,  are running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 3 April to raise money for Hospice Africa.

Hospice Africa is a wonderful charity set up by the formidable Dr Anne Merriman, with a vision to 'deliver pallitaive care for all in need in Africa'. 

Its clinical headquarters are based in Uganda, where the team has developed an affordable and culturally appropriate model providing care and support to those that need it most.  Hospice Africa also created the palliative care institute, to share best practices and establish palliative care across Africa.

Philippa, one of the runners is a palliative care doctor and had the privilege of volunteering with the team in Kampala, Uganda in 2019, seeing first hand the incredible work they do working in the community to support patients and their families and to help relieve their pain and suffering. 

All the money we raise will go direct to Hospice Africa to support the vital work they do.  Any donations, big or small will be gratefully received, thank you!!
