Story

Eamon Murphy & Mark Winters: Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Every year many thousands of pounds are fundraised by the running community to support our local hospice.  I myself have had the privilege to run London Marathon in 2012 & 2013  as part of the SAH fundraising teams. Mark has completed the Dublin Marathon 2013 and the  2015 London Marathon while  fundraising for SAH.

As we are all aware 2020 has hit charities like the SAH hard . There has been zero income from the annual group trips to some of the worlds greatest Marathons... London, New York, Boston, Chicago to name a few. Other runners complete other smaller events to support the SAH and as everything has been postponed, this has all had a devastating affect on funding. With this in mind we would like to do at least a little, to help the SAH in the amazing services they provide in our community.

We would be very grateful if you could support this cause through our challenge to complete the Newry City Marathon (26.2 miles) on Christmas Morning 2020.

Thank you in advance

Eamon Murphy
