Story
Hey everyone,
On October 3rd, I’m going to be running the London Marathon to raise money for the amazing charity Just a Drop.
For those of you who aren’t aware, Just a Drop’s mission is to bring sustainable safe water, sanitation and hygiene projects to communities around the world.
If we’re being honest, having ready access to clean water is something that most of us tend to take for granted. The fact that we couldn’t survive for more than 3 days without it is something that probably isn’t at the forefront of our minds… simply because we’re lucky enough that it doesn’t need to be.
Though there are billions of people in the world who don’t have this luxury, and don’t have access to clean water. And the wider impact this has on communities is absolutely devastating.
However, safe water can change everything. It improves health, education, women’s rights, leads to secure food sources, economic growth and brighter futures. It completely transforms lives.
For context, just £5 can give child access to clean water and safe water sanitation and hygiene. And by running the marathon, I’m hoping to raise £1,500 for Just a Drop. Any donations would be hugely appreciated as they'll make an incredibly positive difference to so many people’s lives.
