Story

In aid of Access Sport... QVS Rounders Social and Tournament.

Right now there are significant barriers preventing many children and young people from being physically active.

Research shows that: Disabled people are twice as likely to be inactive as non-disabled people.

- Children & young people from the least affluent families are the least likely to be active
- Children & young people from ethnically diverse communities are the least likely to be active
- By the age of 16 or 17, 64% of girls will have quit sport

Less than half of all children and young people are meeting the Chief Medical Officer guidelines of taking part in sport and physical activity for an average of 60 minutes or more a day.I am taking on a challenge to help Access Sport change this. With the help of fundraisers Access Sport are scaling up to support more young people than ever before and give the life-changing benefits of sport and physical activity to 15,000 disabled and disadvantaged young people.
