Story
Dear all,
It's a bit strange getting a phone call from your mum at 2.15am saying "It's cancer, Leukaemia".
It's even stranger that 11 months after that phone call, our dad is no longer with us. He went from cycling 20 miles a day to dead in about a year. He was 71.
I'm running the London Marathon for Bloodwise, the Leukaemia and blood cancer charity. The marathon that my dad used to put on the television and we'd all watch bits of it, wondering how people managed to get through 26.2 miles of running. It seems fitting that on the one year anniversary of his passing, I am to run London.
Any donation, great all small is appreciated.
