Kisima tractor Fundraiser · 14 September 2014

The Educational Frontier Trust (TEFT) supports Kisima Mixed Secondary School, which is a free residential school in Kenya for disadvantaged young people. It is among the top-performing schools in the country, with 94% of the students achieving a university entrance grade (national average 20%).

Story

Nearly there! Thank you so very much. If we get more than target we can also buy the seed drillers and ploughs for the tractor! Josh and I visited the school earlier this year and saw how the lives of the students are being transformed. They come from the very poorest families and yet are amongst the brightest and really appreciate the chance for an education and to go on to University. The school is entirely funded by donations and last year The Junction at Christ Church bought the school a small farm so they could be self sufficient in feeding themselves. They badly need a tractor to plough and harvest otherwise it is done by hand or a tractor has to be rented using valuable cash reserves. Thank you for taking the time to look at our page. Henry and Josh.
