Variety, the Children's Charity, is dedicated to improving the lives of children who are disabled or disadvantaged. Our practical support ensures that no matter their circumstances, every child has access to the equipment they need and the opportunities and experiences they deserve.

Story

On August 26th 2019 a fearless and foolhardy team from Hudson Quarter will send ‘The Hudson Rocket’ careering down the Micklegate
run course.

The crack teams of Palace Capital Plc, owners of the Hudson
Quarter development site just around the corner from Micklegate, and one of the proud sponsors of the event, and its main contractor Caddick Construction have engineered ‘The Hudson Rocket’ to break all known land speed records.

It has been exactingly designed by supreme designers Fuse
Studios (also architects for the stunning Hudson Quarter development) and branded by York-based The Ideas Group.

As well as aiming to be the fasted kart in York, we will be
raising money for a charity very close to our hearts – Variety, The Children's Charity.

Palace Capital plc CEO Neil Sinclair has been actively involved in the charity since 1972.  Variety, The Children's Charity work throughout the UK to provide tangible and practical help to sick, disadvantaged and disabled children and their families.

We would be very grateful for any donations to this fantastic charity.
