London Landmarks Half Marathon · 29 March 2020

EHE is one of the world's rarest cancers. There is no systemic treatment for this destructive sarcoma. We are raising funds to help fund critical research and so provide hope to those with EHE.

Story

I am running a half marathon for the EHE Rare Cancer Charity. If you can donate a pound or two I would very grateful. If you cannot, just wish me luck!

Having spent the last four years encouraging our wonderful supporters to complete running, cycling, walking and other physical challenges to raise money for EHE research, I have decided it is time to take part myself. So I am running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 29th March. As many of you know, I am not a natural long distance runner. Explosive over three metres perhaps, but 13+ miles?!! Still, if Eliud Kipchoge can do a full marathon in under 2 hours, surely it can't be that tough!! It is slightly scary though as I think the last time I ran more than 5km was in 1992. :)

Epithelioid Haemangioendothelioma (EHE) is an indiscriminate and often destructive cancer occurring in men or woman at any age and which is often aggressive in children and young adults. We know little about this rare cancer which is why research is so critical. Yet because of its rarity, there is no funding from government or the pharmaceutical industry for research into this cancer, and very little from larger cancer foundations and charities.
