Hugo C-B's Three Peak Challenge, 16 Jul 2019 to 17 Jul 2019

3 Peak Challenge, 16 Jul 2019 to 17 Jul 2019 · 16 July 2019
Every day, Anthony Nolan saves the lives of people with a blood cancer or blood disorder. We do this by matching incredible individuals willing to donate their stem cells to people who desperately need a lifesaving transplant. We also carry out cutting edge scientific research, fund specialist post-transplant nurses and support patients and their families through the transplant process and beyond. We won’t stop until we save the lives of everyone who needs a stem cell transplant. Every penny you donate brings us closer to that day.
Over 2,000 people in the UK need a bone marrow or stem cell transplant every year and in 2017/18 Anthony Nolan gave the second chance of life to an incredible 1396, but there is still more to do: just 60% of patients can find the best possible match for a lifesaving stem cell transplant.
Earlier this year I heard from Holly who, in her words, is “one of the lucky ones”; her son was saved by Anthony Nolan. Her story has inspired me to take on a challenge for Anthony Nolan to help raise funds for this incredible charity to help them to save more lives. On Tuesday 16th July 2019 I will be setting off on my Three Peak Challenge to which I will aim to complete Ben Nevis, in Scotland (1345m), Scafell Pike, in England (978m) and Snowdon, in Wales (1085m) all in 24hours to a total of 26miles. Please support me to raise my target to help others that needs are greater than our own.
Thanks,
Hugo C-B
