Story

Staff from the Learning Support team at Huish Episcopi Academy - Judy Hills, Eliza Cox, Lynne Childs, Sammy Vellam, Izzy Moore, Alan Simpson, Terry Crocker, Barbara Brown, Tania Lee, Cristyn Hammett, Yasmin Spender, Mel Horsfield, Fife Mckenny and Helen Roberts - will be taking part in the rainbow run for The Children’s Hospice South West. We will be running in memory of one of our students, Emily Rixon, who sadly passed away in June 2018 following a long illness. Emily was an incredible young person who brought smiles and laughter to everyone that met her. The Children’s Hospice South West do a brilliant job of not only caring for young people with life threatening illnesses but also providing crucial family support. As a team we always looked forward to hearing Emily’s stories of the happy times she had at the hospice. We would like to raise as much money as possible for this fantastic cause so any donations small or large will be gratefully received.
