The fundraising challenge...

Our challenge is to find and buy a car for a maximum total cost of £500,  then drive it from northern England across 9 countries in just 4 days with a few challenges on the way.   The journey will take us through Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Slovenia to our final destination in Italy.  After a BIG sleep we travel back on day 5 and 6 through Switzerland and France back home to England. Total distance about 2700 miles!   Departing 19 June

Why?

We want to help others to benefit from palliative support for their loved ones as they near the end of their lives.  Blythe House Hospice needs funding to provide this.

For Anthony, Steve and John, our thoughts are with our beautiful cousin & sister in law, Lisa who we lost to a degenerative disease back on 12 December 2012.   The other person in our thoughts is John's dad who died of cancer back in 2002.  John (snr) received fantastic palliative care and support in the last few months of his life.  Finally, Mark is a Doctor at Sett Valley Medical Centre.  He and his colleagues and medical team care for 100s of patients and want to give something back through their sponsorship and support of this event

Blythe House Hospice is a registered charity which specialises in providing palliative care for people affected by cancer and other life limiting illnesses, their carers and families.  The hospice is based in the Peak District and depends heavily on charitable donations to fund the care they provide to the many people they support.
