Story
I am running the Swansea half marathon on the 24th of June 2018 in memory of Lindsey Richards-Williams to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Devastatingly on the 22nd February 2018, Lindsey was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Due to the type of cancer that Lindsey had, the prognosis was not good. She had her first intense session of chemotherapy on the 6th April 2018. Sadly, Lindsey passed away on the 16th April 2018, just 8 weeks after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer at the age of 37. Lindsey leaves behind a husband and a 2 year old daughter.
Emma Lewis, Lindsey’s sister, her husband and some of her amazing friends will be running the Cardiff half marathon in October to raise funds for Cancer Research UK, so decided to raise money for their charity of choice by running the Swansea half marathon.
Cancer scares me. I want a cure. Finding this cure costs money and so I hope I can raise as much as possible to make this come true as soon as possible.
