Story
This year I have set myself of target of running 1000 miles for Tommy's. Alongside this, I'll race in a number of 10Ks and half marathons, in preparation for running the London Marathon on 02.10.22.
In September last year, El and I went for what we thought was a routine scan and were given the devastating news that no heartbeat could be found. Nothing could prepare for how traumatic that was and how difficult the following days, weeks and months would be. My aim of completing this challenge is to turn the memory of our unborn baby into a positive one by raising as much money as possible for this brilliant charity which will hopefully lead to less families suffering the same experiences we have.
What Tommy's do:
> fund research to identify why pregnancy goes wrong, which helps us to understand how we can prevent complications and loss.
> provide expert, midwife-led advice for parents before, during and after pregnancy, working together towards safer, healthier pregnancies.
> foster a connected, caring community, united in our goal to make pregnancy safer for all and advocating for and supporting those who have lost babies.
