Hampstead and Westminster Hockey Club provides opportunities for competitive and social hockey in London to men, women and children of all abilities. Please support HWHC so it can continue to provide facilities for community participation in healthy recreation by the playing and coaching of hockey.

Story

As part of Hampstead and Westminster Hockey Club's fundraising drive to raise money for the new pitch the Mens 2s are embarking on a gruelling cycle ride from London to Paris within 30 hours. In addition to raising money for the pitch we are also donating 50% of fundraising to the Stroke Association. (We are funding the ride ourselves so all of the money raised will be going to the club and the charity).

Details of the club and the charity can be found below.

A team of nine cyclists with varying levels of training will set off from Trafalgar Square at midday on Friday the 6th of June and are hoping to arrive in Paris in one piece late afternoon of the 7th.

The team consists of Mark Giblin, Jamie Edington, Lou Gelling, Harry Jones, Fran Cook, Sheridan Leech, Tom Kavanagh, Toby Watt and Kieran Payne. As you can see, we have selected some additional riders from the club who will be joining the peloton in its quest for glory!

We would be very grateful if you could donate to help the cause.

The Stroke Association is a UK wide charity supporting stroke survivors to make the best recovery they can. They campaign for better stroke prevention and care, and fund research to develop new treatments and ways of preventing stroke.

Hampstead and Westminster Hockey Club provides opportunities for competitive and social hockey in London to men, women and children of all abilities. It needs cash to continue to provide facilities for community participation in healthy recreation by the playing and coaching of hockey.
