SPA (Peggy Dodd) Bath · 29 January 2013

Peggy Dodd is an award winning charity which works to help those living with dementia and memory loss, whilst providing respite to support the people who care for them. We do this through our day centre in Combe Down, Bath and our home support service.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page.

The Hydrock Heavyweights have launched a ‘lbs for £s’ challenge to get in shape and support a great cause at the same time.

Kirsten Appleton, Graham Bean, John Hudson, Julian Geer, Richard Lloyd-James, Rob Narbett, Sam Ramplin, Nick Tatnall, Rachel Williams and Richard Yarnold have joined forces to shed the pounds, improve health and raise money for the Peggy Dodd Centre in Bath.

This day care facility supports carers and sufferers of Alzheimer’s and dementia. They give carers a much-needed break, provide sufferers with the opportunity to meet and engage with others as well as other services including Home Support and information and advice.

This vital resource is in great demand and has outgrown its space, and constantly has a waiting list. The centre has launched an appeal to raise £94,000 to convert the first floor, including the essential installation of a lift, to provide additional facilities to help many more people in need of support.

So please give generously in recognition of our efforts to help the Peggy Dodd Centre support families living with these life-changing conditions. www.peggy-dodd-centre.org.uk

Thank you
