The Himalayan Youth Foundation is a charity created to provide for underprivileged and orphaned children in the Himalayan region. We support the Kailash Hostel in Nepal and the Choki Traditional Arts School in Bhutan. In both we provide a home, an education and a future for disadvantaged children

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page.

Our charity provides a home and education for 100 poor and homeless children. We visited the hostel in Feb this year and it was amazing to see how the lives of the children we support have been transformed since they came to the hostel, where they are well cared for and  have access to an education.

They have a sound roof over their heads, but, sadly, they have no access to learning and play equipment. They need  books, equipment and educational toys which will help their learning process, and play equipment such as bicycles which will benefit their all round development and improve their fitness, as well as providing some fun!

We made a promise to the children to deliver educational learning aids and a small fleet of bikes and safety equipment to them by the end of the year. Santa Claus has  been asked to look up the GPS co-ordinates for Kathmandu, so please help us make christmas for the children one to remember!

If you would like to find out more about the operation of the hsotel and the children which we support, then please visit the hostel's website at www.hcf-nepal.org
