The UK Hyperhidrosis Support Group has helped thousands suffering from this distressing condition. Run by volunteers, it relies solely on donations and sponsorship to continue this worthwhile work, and does not charge a membership fee (unlike most other support groups). 

Julie Halford set up the group 6 years ago, and devotes a considerable amount of her own time to running the group - she personally replies to each and every plea for help or advice generated by the web site www.hyperhidrosisuk.org , addresses groups of dermatalogists, GPs and nurses to update them on the latest treatments, and writes clinical papers. Other volunteers generously give their time - Steve Tribe (newsletters) and Jack Chernin (accounts).

Funds are needed to maintain the web site, print leaflets, and travel to dermatology workshops.The British Skin Foundation's 'Walk for Skin 2010' is the main fundraising event for the Hyperhidrosis Support Group this year, and we will be grateful for any help you can give.

Just £1 would provide a handful of leaflets on Hyperhidrosis for a GP to give to his/her patients. £5 would provide enough for a whole practice. £20 would provide enough leaflets for an outpatients department in a hospital and £50 will provide for training a dermatology department in a hospital on how to treat patients. No matter how small, every little helps!
