Story

Thank you for visiting my JustGiving fundraising page!

This October, I’m taking on a huge personal challenge—competing in HYROX—to raise money for people living with cancer.

My Story

Some of you may know that I lost my dad to cancer back in 2019. I was lucky to have him cheering me on at every sporting event I did—his clapping, shouting, and proud sideline support are memories I’ll always treasure. I know if he were still here, he would be there, cheering me on (even if I’m struggling my way through it!).

During his treatment, he often spoke very highly of Macmillan’s services, so I feel incredibly grateful to take on this challenge and give back to such a vital support system for those affected by cancer.

Why HYROX?

Over the past 12 months, I’ve been training hard and have gotten into the best shape I’ve been in for a very long time. I’ve been searching for a big challenge to celebrate that progress—and HYROX is exactly that.

For anyone who’s not familiar, HYROX is a fitness race that mixes running with tough gym-style workouts. You run 1km, then hit a functional workout station... and repeat that eight times. It’s a full-body, all-out test of both physical and mental grit. You can read more about it here: https://hyrox.com

I'll be taking part in HYROX Birmingham on 25th October 2025, and if you'd like to come cheer me on (or just witness the madness), here's the spectator info:

The Cause

I’ve set a fundraising goal of £400. That may not sound like much, but it’s enough to fund the Macmillan Support Line for an entire hour—giving people facing cancer crucial emotional and practical support when they need it most.

Right now, over 3 million people are living with cancer in the UK. Macmillan’s goal is to support everyone, from the moment of diagnosis—but they rely on public donations to make that possible.

How You Can Help

If you’re able to donate, no matter how small or large the amount, I’d be incredibly grateful. Or if you'd simply like to follow along and see how my training is going, I’ll be posting updates as I get closer to race day!

Thanks so much for your support—it truly means a lot
