Overgate Hospice heavily rely upon donations from the public to enable their doors to remain open. Unfortunately, the worldwide pandemic and the governmental restrictions have severely affected their planned fundraising events since March of this year. In turn, there has been a significant drop in income for Overgate Hospice. This December, I will be joining the Halifax Calder Rotary's virtual "Climb the Tower" event, where I am being asked to climb (or walk the equivalent distance of) the height of a local landmark - Wainhouse Tower. We are trying to raise, ahead of Christmas, some much needed funds to inject into this excellent charity, which stands at the heart of the Calderdale community. Please give what you are able and let's do what we can to ensure that Overgate Hospice can continue to serve its patients and families for many years to come.
