Rat Race - Man V's Mountain · 7 September 2019
As you know 2 of my children suffer with Cystic Fibrosis.
CF is a hereditary disorder affecting the exocrine glands. It causes the production of abnormally thick mucus, leading to the blockage of the pancreatic ducts, intestines, and bronchi and often resulting in respiratory infection.
The average life Expectancy for people with CF is currently 45, which is far to young and the reason why we are raising money for this great charity..... CF Warriors
CF Warriors is an amazing charity, It's a charity that aims to raise awareness of the benefits of sport & exercise to the whole CF community across the globe through events and the publication of research funded by the charity.
CF Warriors was founded by Josh Llewellyn-Jones and his brother Mark. Josh was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at birth and at the age of 2, was fortunate enough to meet Dr Bob Kramer from Dallas, Texas. His advice to Josh's parents was to 'run his legs off' and exercise always needed to play a big part in Josh's life to keep him fit and healthy. Nearly 30 years on and Josh is as fit as he's ever been. Passionate about helping children with cystic fibrosis, Josh and Mark set up CF Warriors to motivate, inspire and support children on their journey to a longer, happier and healthier life.
Being massive advocates of having a healthy lifestyle ourselves, we believe that this would be an amazing charity to support. What better charity to support than one that promotes and helps children with Cystic Fibrosis achieve a healthy lifestyle
We will be taking part in a Rat Race Event which is called Man v's Mountain.....it consists of 22 miles up and over Mount Snowdon with some obstacles and swimming at the end just make it that little bit tougher.
We would really appreciate your support and any donation is greatly welcomed.
Thank you for taking time to read our story to why we are doing this
