IWM Communications are supporting Charlie House throughout 2020 and as part of this I'm taking part in the Run Balmoral 10k on April 18th 

Charlie House are fundraising for their Big Build Appeal - they need £8 MILLION.  What on earth can they need £8 million for I hear you cry... this is what they need it for, and this is why every penny raised counts:

The Charlie House vision has always been to have a purpose-built facility in Aberdeen to support families in the region. The building and planned services provided from the centre will dramatically change the support available to children with complex disabilities and their families locally, when they need it.

The 8-bedroom facility will vitally offer parents and carers the chance to recharge their batteries, safe in the knowledge that the children with complex disabilities will be in the care of specially trained medical staff.

Set in four acres of land within Woodend Hospital, the centre will also enable the children and their families to make wonderful memories together with state-of-the-art spaces including a sensory room, library, spa pool, craft room, teen den, soft play area and therapy room.
