I'm not sure what came over me when I asked the dystonia society if they had a place for the 2010 London Marathon....But here I am 14 (ish) stone of bulk never deisgned to run begining to train for 26 miles of running, jogging or maybe walking.
After being told Elena would not walk or even sit up I decided to put some effort into fundraising for the charity that have helped us to understand the condition.
My first training run in May with David was a hard 5k (mainly walking and panting) the threats of military style shouting the next time will help to motivate me to get fitter fairly quickly.
Since starting my training with a half marathon in September I have competed in a few events including a Duathalon, 10K off road race and 2 10 Mile races. I am hoping to complete in the London Marathon in under 4 hours!
