I am a volunteer for Whispers of Hope I am dying my hair purple as a sponcored event. My goal it to raise awareness of the incredible work Whispers of Hope does and of course funds to help them continue that work.

Whispers of Hope supports women who have been victims of domestic abuse and also have no recourse to public funds due to an insecure immigration status. This means that much of the support we would expect in this situation in unavailable to them... no refuge space, no benefits, no housing. It is often too dangerous for them to return home to their own family and their right to be here in the UK is based on their relationship with their abuser.

Whispers of Hope protects and supports women while they resolve their immigration status and start to build a new life. They do this through providing a Safe house, SafeSpace, Befrienders, Safeguarding, supporting women within the community, English classes.
