My cycle for Alzheimer's Society · 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2023 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

He was born George, nicknamed Mick shortly after, known by his work friends as Juddy but the name that means the most to me is Grandad. Seeing such a knowledgeable, caring, loving man deteriorate is just horrendous, from doing silly laughable things to slowly forgetting his loved ones.

The aim of Just One More Hour is to cycle from Sheffield to Lands End in 3 Days and raise as much money for the Alzheimer’s society as possible, so more family’s can have just one more hour.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever.Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
