Emma and Ollie do 100 miles in April

Emma Croman is raising money for Alzheimer's Society

My trek for Alzheimer's Society · 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2026 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Alzheimer's is devastating - they call it the long goodbye but nothing prepares you for the reality of the disease and the ongoing grief of seeing someone you love slip away while also needing care to keep them safe. My Mum has Alzheimers and I will do anything to prevent others having to go through what we're going through.

At Alzheimer’s Society they’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. They do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.

During Mum's diagnosis and the journey we've been on as well as other life pressures I've lost myself. I recently rescued a beautiful dog named Ollie and as we ramp up our walks I want to do this challenge to honour my Mum, increase my fitness, improve my mental health and give Ollie the best time now he's found home in the Peak District.

I'll be completing the 100 miles over the course of the month of April 2026.
