Hello everyone my name is Ian Barton, I work for Ford Motor Company at warley head office (security department, i am going to walk the 190 mile 'coast to coast' challenge in may 2010 All proceeds in aid of St Luke's Hospice.it is a challenging walk that was planned and devised by the great A.W, Alfred wainwright.

its a personnel challenge i have wanted to do for ages now I finally  have the oppotunity to do so yes i am excited by it all who would'nt be? Irish sea to north sea taking in the lake district, south yorkshire, and the north york moors and more.

 

still enough about me.... the above is not that importent apart to myself.... i know there are lots and lots of deserving causes out there and sometimes gets a bit much i am always sponsoring someone at work and always do as i know first hand how much all our help is.

 

St Luke's Hospice cares effectively for complex cancer cases as well as any other advanced life limiting conditions eg: motor neurone , parkinson's, hiv/aids and heart failure patients. there aim is to maintain and enhance the quaility of life for there patients ,caring for each of them as a whole person offering the right to be treated with dignity, sensitivity, compassion and understanding.

 

st luke's is a place where tears and smiles sit side by side.

where the emphasis is not on adding days to life but life to days.

that accepts life as a reality but where the focus is on the quality of life remaining-living life to the full.

RIGHT now down to hard cash!! please please could you donate to this great cause and my challenge every penny counts, as you can see ive set this just giving page up and all monies got straight to st luke's, also have sponsor forms (security office). my challenge starts on the 17th of may 2010 so we only have about two months to raise money, and i have a lot of training to still do so once again please donate asap you will see me around warley if i can help in any way please ask, also this will go out to friends and family or people i know so i would be very grateful if you could spread the word.
