2022 Wordsworth Challenge (8 Peaks in 14 Hours) · 18 June 2022 ·

Since 2001, we have undertaken challenges and fund raising events to raise funds towards helping those who are diagnosed with cancer. The funds are used to finance projects where funding is not available via the NHS or other public bodies. To date we have raised over £719,000 helping 89 projects.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in the Brown Dog Wordsworth Challenge up in the Lake District where I will have to climb 8 mountains in 14 hours. We will start at 3am in the morning, climb the first two mountains in the dark and finish around 5pm on top of Scafell Pike.

21 years ago the Brown Dog Charity was formed which the objective of raising money to buy vital equipment (that the NHS cannot afford) to improve diagnosis/detection rates, surgery and care of people fighting cancer across the UK. Over the years thousands of lives have been extended and/or saved.

Brown Dog have now been raising much needed funds for 21 years and in 2022 the charity are trying to raise £30,000 to purchase an "Ultrathin Transnasal Endoscope" for Leicester General Hospital.

PLEASE HELP ME TO ACHIEVE THIS GOAL BY MAKING A DONATION
