Miles for Mental Health 2018 · 25 October 2018

Mental Health UK is here for anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We are made up of four organisations based in each of the four nations of the UK, working together to improve mental health.

Story

There's a team from Lloyds Banking Group running from London to Bristol (approx 120 miles) over 5 days, from 25-29 October 2018, for the Miles for Mental Health challenge 2018.

I'm not running that far. I'm joining the team in Bath, running the final half marathon to our office in Bristol (and yes, cashing in on that crossing the finishing line glory!). It would be fantastic if you could support me, the team as a whole and most importantly the cause.

Poor mental health affects more people every year than cancer or heart disease – every year, one in four of us in the UK is affected by a mental health problem.

1 in 10 children aged 5-16 have a diagnosable mental health condition.

Mental Health UK brings together four national mental health charities working across the UK.

They have 40 years' experience of working to improve life for people affected by mental illness in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

They are working together to raise funds so that more people across the UK can access support for their own mental health and for friends and family members who are affected by mental illness.

Lloyds Banking Group has a two year partnership with Mental Health UK, not only raising funds but also vital awareness of mental health and wellbeing issues.
