At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. In 2008 after hearing a week of Dimentia Awareness on the radio I was moved to tears more than once as I listened to the story of numerous families who have been touched by this condition. I felt so strongly that I got off my behind and registered for the Inka Trail Trek in Peru with the Altziehmers Society. Who would have thought then that in a strange twist of fate that money I raised then, would end up helping my mum. Recently diagnosed it's been a tough start for us all  to understanding the impact this condition can have, not least for mum. So for me what else could I do, be there for mum and dad and to help raise more awareness and my small financial contribution will help now and in the future.

If you can help me to help them, then thank you from the bottom of my heart. Even if you can simply share, there may be someone out there in your wider circle of friends who may want to help in whatever way they can.

I know we all get lost of requests to donate, so when one does it's really appreciated.

I should also like to send a special thank you to my one and only Lol. Without her love and support as always, I would not be able to even consider starting on this epic event to climb the highest peak in Africa. Thanks to my best friend and soul mate. X

My love and thoughts are with all those touched by this condition.
