I am attempting to compete (and hopefully complete) in Ironman UK Bolton on the 3rd of July.

The event consists of a; 3.8km Swim 180km cycle 42km run. I have entered a few shorter distance triathlons over the past 4 years but have not yet competed in the ironman full distance event. Training for this began back in December and has slowly increased in intensity from 6hrs a week up-to 15hrs a week. I have decided to try and raise money for this amazing new charity Siblings United in support of my close friend of 35yrs. The charity is to support siblings of sick children.
