Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a life-shortening genetic condition that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity fighting for a life unlimited, when everyone living with CF can look forward to a long, healthy life. www.cysticfibrosis.org.uk

Story

The training has been short, the distance is long.

In just under a week I will be attempting to run the Glasgow half marathon along with Daisy Felicity, Rosie, Emma, Sophie and Mark.

Thats right - over 13 long miles of hell.

I will be running the half marathon in memory of my older sister Lucy Lyburn. For those of you who weren’t lucky enough to meet Lucy, she was my bubbly older sister who fought Cystic Fibrosis for 19 years and knew first-hand how horrible a disease Cystic Fibrosis is. A cure has not yet been found so we will all be running the half marathon to raise money to help find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis. We have until October the 6th to raise as much money as we can for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, a great charity that we are trying to find a cure for a life-threatening disease.

Due to working on the farm this summer (my excuse) I have squeezed in two feeble runs around the mighty Forfar Loch. One of which you can see in my photo gallery (feel free to laugh).

If you could all give even the smallest amount I would be so grateful. No amount is too little... sacrifice one or two drinks from your next night out and donate it instead; I guarantee you will feel better for it.
