Story

Thanks for taking the
time to visit my JustGiving page. I am running the Sheffield 10k to raise money
for the Friends and Volunteers of Sheffield Music Hub who are fundraising to
support the Hubs brand new Musical Stars Scheme.

Music is so human. It lives in all of us and we
all experience and make music every day whether we know it or not. It is the
universal language. An emotional language. In Sheffield we see thousands of
children begin their musical journey, but for some reason, somehow, they don't
all continue. It can be the smallest thing that prevents them from spreading
their wings; social background, culture, expectation, support, encouragement,
finances. We need to stop those things getting in the way. The Musical
Stars Scheme run by Sheffield Music Hub aims to support every child in
Sheffield for whom music is their passion and their love the chance to
keep music in their lives forever.  The Music Hub don't want any child to
look back in 30 years to think...what if?

About the charity

We help with concerts and raise funds to pay for materials, music and events so that young musicians can play in music groups. We work closely in partnership with the Sheffield Music Hub.
