Doncaster Deaf Trust run the Doncaster 10K · 27 November 2022 ·

Staff from Doncaster Deaf Trust have volunteered to challenge themselves to run Doncaster 10K on November 27th. All funds raised will go towards various well-being projects and the improvement of facilities across the Trust.

Story

We support our students and pupils via five main services, Little Learners Day Nursery, Doncaster School for the Deaf, Communication Specialist College, Aspire to Be employment service and Doncaster Deaf Trust Childrens Homes. Our College has over 120 students with varying communication needs, the School caters for around 35 profoundly deaf pupils whilst the Nursery is bursting at the seams with over 200 children! We are fundraising in order to improve 'Health, Well-being and Leisure' facilities across the Trust. We are creating a well-being garden and an outdoor gym for all pupils, students and staff. We are also improving play equipment for both nursery and the school. Also, we are looking to raise funds to improve training facilities for the clients of Aspire to Be by creating a work simulated environment linked to hospitality, where clients are able to train to an industry standard to gain employment into this field of work. All funds raised will be split between these services
