Four core values underpin our work in Kibera. We believe that: • Education is the only sustainable route out of poverty; • Empowerment is achieved through education; • Children need to be adequately fed to learn effectively; • Impact is multiplied by strong community collaboration.

Story

The charity aims to improve education opportunities for around 750 primary school children across 4 schools in the slums of Kibera, Nairobi, Kenya. As the website states:

'Education is the key to unlocking the door out of the slum and this is why education is at the heart of Kanzi-Kibera Friends'.

As an incentive for children to come to school, they’ll get a meal, probably their only meal of the day and it costs just 5p per day to feed a child. Which means £5 will feed a child for 100 days, £10 will feed a child for 200 days; etc etc

I’d be very grateful for any donation you’re able to make and many thanks for your support.
