Story
On 31st July2021, I am taking on an massive personal challenge – the Cotswold Big Swim - a 10k swim in a beautiful and scenic location. I am doing this to raise valuable funds for The Quilter Foundation and to support young carers. Yep 10km of swimming without stopping!!
I am taking on this challenge because we need to support young carers through the foundation who have really suffered during the current crisis
Every pound raised will go towards a very worthwhile cause and will enable young carers to achieve their aspirations and have brighter futures.
With your support:
£10 could provide a care package for a young carer, with items to help them take care of themselves such as herbal teas, bath salts and a notebook to write about their hopes, dreams, and aspirations.
£25 could provide a place at a Carers Trust local carers service, where a young carer can take part in a range of virtual activities and
help build connections with other young carers, supporting them on their way to a brighter future.
Here’s a little bit of information about The Quilter Foundation, who I am fundraising for:
The Quilter Foundation supports the many thousands of young people in our communities who face a multitude of challenges. The charity’s mission is to empower young people to fulfil their potential, thrive and prosper.
Funds raised will be donated to the Foundation’s principal partner, Carers Trust, to provide immediate relief and personal development opportunities for young carers, aged 16-25, in our communities.
Today, there are an estimated 700,000 young carers in the UK looking after loved ones with disabilities, long-term illnesses, mental health issues or addiction problems. Because of their caring duties, young carers often feel isolated, anxious, and depressed.
Working in partnership with Carers Trust the Foundations aims to give young carers the chance of a brighter future.
Please donate to support young carers and help me make a difference. Thank you!
