In 2020 my school friend Nicola and her husband Harry became parents to Rudy. As you can see he’s a very handsome chap! Rudy was born with an extremely rare condition called Multiple Congential Anomalies & Seizures’ or ‘MCAHS1’. There are only 50 known cases WORLDWIDE and the condition was only discovered in 2014.

My words couldn’t do justice to the effort that Rudys parents have put into raising awareness of their sons’ condition and I urge you to visit their Instagram page @rudysw0rld to follow the families journey and how they live their life with the rare condition their first born child has.

I’m am running 100km in February for Haven House Children’s Hospice. This is where Rudy can benefit from physio, therapeutic classes and respite when required.
