Story
My wife was diagnosed with Low Grade Non Hodgkin Lymphoma, stage 4, in December 2019 and had chemotherapy to treat the tumour and lymphoma that had grown at this time.
She continues to have maintenance chemotherapy every 2 months and has two sessions left, when hopefully for now she will be given the all clear.
During the last two years of the Covid pandemic we have spent pretty much the whole time shielding, keeping my wife safe from the risk of infection, and the possible repercussions for someone with blood cancer. We have however managed to get out for a daily walk, weather allowing - and took part in a socially distanced Walk of Light last year.
This year we are taking part again on March 26th, but we have also coupled this with taking part in a 1,000 mile in a year challenge, which we started in May 2021.
If we continue our current average walking distance, we should hit the 1,000 miles mark on the day of the Walk of Light - which would be a fantastic double achievement.
I appreciate times are hard, what with rising energy prices and the general cost of living, but would appreciate even the smallest of donations, if possible.
Thank you for taking the time to read and hopefully thank you for your donation.
