Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

So as you all know I love my running I make no secret of that.  I’ve done lots of different events over the past few years from a New York half marathon to my home town half marathon the Robin Hood Half  to a recently completed full marathon in Manchester - but one race I’ve always wanted to do is London Marathon - for most runners this is the Mecca of running events

I’ve applied to the Ballot every year for the past 6 years but have never been lucky enough to get a place.  As I turned 50 last year I thought it would be nice to complete this for charity and I therefore applied  to British Blind Sport  This is an amazing charity that does so much for visually impaired people in the UK allowing them to participate in sport and games that we all take for granted. This charity resonated with me as our daughter Megan nearly lost her sight 10 years ago but luckily this was caught in time and the amazing NHS managed to help her and saved her sight

Please support me in my efforts to raise money for this charity and watch my social media for fun events over the next year.

Thanks for reading

Ian
