Story
100 Miles in October for Georgia 💙
This October, I’m taking on a challenge that, if I’m honest, is pretty far outside my comfort zone — I’m going to run 100 miles in 31 days to raise money for the National Autistic Society.
And for those who know me, you’ll know something important…
I don’t run. 😂
But I’m willing to change that for something that means a huge amount to our family.
Our daughter, Georgia, is autistic, and like so many families, autism is a part of our everyday lives. Georgia has taught us so much about seeing the world differently, celebrating the things that make us unique, and understanding that everyone’s journey is different.
So this challenge is for Georgia, but it’s also for the thousands of autistic people and their families who deserve understanding, acceptance, support and the opportunity to thrive.
The National Autistic Society does hugely important work supporting autistic people, raising awareness and helping families navigate what can sometimes feel like a very complicated world.
For me, 100 miles is going to be tough. There will be tired legs, aching feet, plenty of self-doubt and, almost certainly, a few moments when I question why I thought this was a good idea!
But every mile will have a purpose.
100 miles. One month. A cause that is incredibly close to our hearts.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how much, I’d be genuinely grateful. Your support will help keep me going when the miles get difficult and, more importantly, help raise money for a cause that means so much to our family.
If you can’t donate, please share the page, send some encouragement, or remind me why I’m doing this when you see me struggling!
For Georgia. For autistic people everywhere. And for a cause worth running for. 💙
Thank you for your support.
Ian
