Story
This October, I'm walking 100 miles to support life-saving ovarian cancer research.
As most of you will already know, I recently lost my wife Alison to Ovarian cancer.
Having witnessed her suffering , I am seeking to help others avoid such a sad end , by supporting research to find a cure.
Ovarian cancer has the lowest survival rate of all gynaecological cancers, yet more than half of women are diagnosed at an advanced stage when treatment options are limited.
By supporting my challenge, you'll help fund research that gives women the best chance of survival. From earlier diagnosis to better treatments, every step brings us closer to a future where no woman dies of ovarian cancer.
Please don’t feel obliged to me to support this .
I know you will receive many charity requests each year , and indeed may / will have made similar donations already .
If you see me out walking give me a shout of support .
