ODAAT Challenge 2020

ODAAT Challenge 2020 · 31 October 2020 ·
Hi friends! I took up running during lockdown to replace my former athletic discipline of "Walking Quite Fast Up Escalators" during my commute to work. Other than the aforementioned commuter sport, my biggest (only?) athletic achievement is completing the Couch to 5K programme. I have now signed up for the Vitality London Virtual 10,000 and will be running to raise money for ODAAT ("One Day At A Time").
ODAAT is a London-based drug and alcohol rehabilitation programme and a part of the charity HOPE worldwide. It began about 25 years ago and grew out of a need to help the homeless people HOPE worldwide's Two Step programme was housing to deal with their addiction.
Drugs and alcohol addiction can destroy families and friendships. It also has a terrible impact on the wider community. Alcohol costs the NHS £billions and drugs addiction can lead to crime and violence to fund their habits. ODAAT helps to change men caught up in all this. Broken family relationships are healed. Self-esteem and confidence to give to others and serve is instilled. Volunteering and starting work takes place and lives are transformed.
This inspires me to support ODAAT. Thank you for your kind donation!
