ON SATURDAY 5TH AND SUNDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER THE INNOVATION AND RESEARCH TEAM COMPLETED THEIR 170KM CYCLE CHALLENGE!!

The bike ride was a great experience for the team and everyone did really well. There were some high and low points and not just because of the hills. We made it to late on Sunday afternoon and we were all very pleased to see the Midland Heart van after all those miles!!

Although there were a few sore muscles and creaky joints on Monday morning the team can be very proud of their efforts

THE SECOND DRESS DOWN AND SAMOSA DAY PROVED AS SUCCESFUL AS THE FIRST. THANKS TO ALL WHO JOINED IN ESPECIALLY ROB COOKE WHO AGAIN MADE SOME DELICIOUS CAKES (HOPE HE MAKES A HABIT OF IT!)

Innovation and Research 170km Cycle Challenge

We have decided to cycle coast to coast through Devon over two days, braving the elements of the 170km trail which will take us from Ilfracombe to Plymouth.

We are raising money for Metamorphosis at Martineau Gardens, who support volunteers in looking after wildlife, plants and garden buildings. As well as corporate volunteers (like us) other volunteers have included people with disabilities or support needs and volunteers can learn about therapeutic horticulture, sustainable development, conservation & biodiversity and growing organic food.
