Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page, this page is in memory of Amy Lockyer who passed away on 28th September 2007 aged just 24.

Amy was a generous, friendly, crazy and fun loving girl who cared deeply about her friends and family. While Amy lived in Cornwall she became an active member of Dennis Wright's Annual Cannon Pull team. Dennis and the team are obviously deeply saddened at Amy's passing, so this year the Cannon Pull will be in her memory and we are completing the longest pull ever attempted by the team!

The half ton cannon will be pulled by a team of men and women volunteers 100 miles through the county of Cornwall, starting from Liskeard and finishing at Land's End.  This epic journey will be taking place over Easter (21st - 24th March), feel free to pray for a dry weekend.

The Route: Liskeard - St Austell - Truro - Helston - Penzance - Lands End

The chosen charity this year is the Children's Hospice South West, we hope to raise enough for them to really make an impact to their fundrasiing efforts to enable them to offer a new children's hospice for families in Cornwall.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Children's Hospice South West will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you. My company will also match any donations made through this site, so every £1 will be doubled.

Please donate generously, Amy would have.
