Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit this JustGiving page.

I got talked into Walking the Wight this year. The experience will be a challenge, so this is possibly the first and last chance you have of sponsoring my effort.

Walk the Wight is a 26.5 mile hike from one end of the Island to the other - from Bembridge in the east to the Needles in the west, which on the up side means at least I'll be nearly home when I finish. It takes about 10 hours to complete, and I'll be doing it come rain or shine. My walker number is 3275.

Walk the Wight raises funds for the Isle of Wight's Earl Mountbatten Hospice, which is the only hospice on the Island. It cares for around 800 terminally ill patients every year, free of charge.

I'm using Just Giving because it's the simplest way of trying to raise sponsorship given how scattered my friends and family have become.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, while saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Please make a donation if you can.
